A bit unusual for me as this is unlinked to what I usually talk about and is very much a thought cut from fresh cloth.
In short: we lose most of our childhood memories and remember very little from before 3-4 years of age. The question is whether the preponderance of smartphones packed with videos of our little ones could be extending their ability to remember early events in their lives by dint of us repeatedly showing (refreshing and comnsolidating the memories) the footage to our children through those formative years.
I found this thought an interesting one, yet i couldn’t find any research, or even people musing over the same possibility, anywhere online.
