He is a UCLA medical school professor and the Founder and Executive Director of the UCLA Center for Digital Behavior (CDB), which brings together experts in psychology, medicine, business, and technology to study cutting edge ways of using social media and mobile technologies to change and predict human behavior. The center’s work is featured in top media outlets including The New York Times, NPR, the Huffington Post, Yahoo Finance, TechCrunch, Mashable, and CBS News. In addition to Dr. Young’s platform with UCLA and within the startup community, he is a frequent speaker on behavior change in the corporate world, giving almost weekly talks to companies including: Intel, Cisco, Facebook, Twitter, GE, Qualcomm, IBM, and Microsoft. He has a PhD in Psychology and Master’s in Health Services Research from Stanford University.
