Michelle Kennedy: “Peanut – An Entrepreneurship Journey” | Talks at Google

Have you ever wondered how to take an idea from thought to reality? What does it take to launch a start up with a bang? Are you thinking about launching a startup alongside your day job? Then this is the talk for you! Talks at Google are pleased to welcome Michelle Kennedy the co founder and CEO of Peanut – an app which allows mums to meet other mums.

Since launching in February 2017, the app has received an incredible response seeing it grow rapidly across the US and UK. Peanut has been featured by Apple at the WWDC keynote, New York Times, Good Morning America, and BBC. In just 9 months, Peanut has over 150,000 women using the app, there have been 16 million swipes (waves), and thousands of playdates/meetups as a result of women meeting on the app.

Michelle started Peanut after struggling to meet other mamas she could relate to while also working. After finding herself trawling blogs for baby advice at 2am while her friends were still hanging out in clubs, she decided to create a product to make being a mama a little less lonely.
