José Ocaño: “No-Kill Los Angeles (NKLA)” | Talks at Google

José Ocaño is Pacific Regional Director for Best Friends Animal Society and oversee the No-Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) program. José has been involved in helping animals his entire career and now has a leading role with one of the largest animal welfare organizations in the country.

José tells the story of how he got into animal rescue, ethical dilemmas he encountered along the way and how his past shaped what he is doing today. He provides information on Best Friends Animal Society and NKLA and what their programs are doing to help animals. He also talks about where the greatest needs are in animal rescue and what people can do to help solve the problem of unwanted pets.
