George MacKerron: “Happiness Quantified” | Talks at Google

George MacKerron is lecturer in Economics at the University of Sussex and conducted the Mappiness study, investigating subjective wellbeing and environmental quality using an broadly distributed free app. He is also CTO at Psychological Technologies, developing apps to support mindfulness and experience sampling techniques.

In his talk at Google George dives into the fascinating results of his Mappiness study, answer questions about how happiness correlates to certain activities, and how seeing your favorite sports team lose can give you greater unhappiness for longer than the equivalent happiness when you see them win.
