Abraham Conlon and Adrienne Lo are the chefs and co-owners of the popular Chicago restaurant Fat Rice. They have awards and recognition from the James Beard Foundation, Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Eater, and many others. Hugh Amano is a writer and the former sous chef of Fat Rice.
In their new cookbook, The Adventures of Fat Rice: Recipes from the Chicago Restaurant Inspired by Macau the James Beard Award finalists explore the vibrant food culture of Macau, the former Portuguese outpost on the Pearl River in China, where travelers from Europe, Southeast Asia, and beyond traded resources, culture, and food.
